1984 BMW k100RS
Introduced in 1983 the K series bikes represented a new dawn for BMW who, due to declining sales of their twin cylinder 'bikes, were considering pulling out of the motorcycle business in the '70s. Affectionately dubbed 'the flying brick' referring to the slab like appearance of the engine, the new range and in particular the more sporty RS were very well received. Finished in black and complete with BMW touring panniers and a Motad sports exhaust this early 2 valve version (later engines having 4 valves per cylinder) wears its 23 years well. These 'bikes can cover astronomical miles thanks to the shaft drive and general 'over engineering' so an indicated 50,000 miles is nothing to be frightened of. In good mechanical and cosmetic condition the paint has been touched in around the filler cap and there are a few scuffs and chips as one would expect (detail photographs are available).
